ONE WEEK TO SAVE YOUR MARRIAGE

You’ve probably heard the statistic that half of all marriages end in divorce. That number was touted in the 1980s. The reality is more complicated. In fact, divorces have been declining, mostly because fewer people are getting married. And though fewer couples end up divorcing, it doesn’t mean they are living happily ever after. Conflict, infidelity, time and money issues, and family problems all contribute to marriage failures. Couples are also waiting to get married—the average marriage age has moved from 20 in the 1950s to over 30 today. This means more baggage, bad habits, and stubborn wills are brought into the relationship. It’s tougher than ever to have a successful marriage, and maybe you’re in one that has seen better days.

This one-week journey is for men whose marriage is failing. If you’re considering separation or divorce, these daily lessons will give you a few steps you can try to put your marriage relationship back on track. Even if you’re just in a “rough patch”, you’ll get some helpful ideas to help you grow a healthier marriage. These daily notes are not a substitute for serious biblical counseling and faith-centered legal advice. However, if you are asking, “What can I possibly do now to salvage or restart this relationship?” these instructions might help you get started.
